Equations

Equations lead to a tables or graphs. To do a table you have to solve a equation repeatedly. Equations are mostly used to even or make both of the sides equal.

Ex: 20+10(2,5)=30+10

Tables

In my second entry I am talking about tables. Tables are mostly used to compare or see the number that is part of a graph. For example: x y

10 30

20 60

30 90

40 120 and so on.

You could compare the numbers in x with the numbers in y. That is why tables are very useful. They are the repeated solving of an equation. Tables can have millions of numbers from any side negative or positive. They can compare any variables that include numbers. For example with money or amount of animals, computers,rivers,etc.

Graphs

One of the topics I have to write about is graphs. Graphs are used to see the constant change of a problem or equation. Like y=8+14x for example. A graph would be very useful if you wanted to see the gradual change of this equation. They can be used to compare two variables I will make a problem.

Juan wants to buy laptops for all 7th grade. He has to companies to buy from Apple and Microsoft. Microsoft has an initial fee of 500 dollars and 2050 dollars per laptop. Apple is 2000 per laptop. In what number of laptops are the prices same? You could use the graph to see the answer.

Graphs are used all over the world in banks, car companies, construction companies, etc. They could be used to see economic problems in the world or global warming and how it has gone up. Graphs are a very useful tool.

Project Introduction

Welcome to my blog spot. I am new to blogger. I computers I was told to make a blog and post stuff about my topic. I am going to talk about pre algebra, that includes graphs and equations. I am going to post links of games and websites that give information and activities of pre-algebra.

My goal is to teach students about pre-algebra. I am supposed to be a teacher of math in 7th grade. I work for Colegio Menor and teach 7th graders.

I will use excel for doing equations and freehand. I hope you enjoy and find my blog helpful.
